Sandra Dowd is a figurative painter and performance artist. The face and body have always fascinated her. Using oils and pastels, she applies spontaneous strokes that suggest the person or setting rather than describing them totally realistically. Her portraits hang in homes across the United States and Canada and have been reproduced in national magazines.

In her Dancing with Paint performances, Sandra has perfected the art of painting portraits of iconic people to music. She wows audiences with these paintings done quickly and with flare. With a masters degree in painting she is a retired Art Professor.
