More than anything, I love painting the natural world, just as it is. It thrills me to see abstract qualities of design are right there, uncontrived, in the gardens and woods and ordinary moments that inspire my paintings. My watercolors blend realism and abstraction, while my acrylics are pure creative exploration. Every painting is a thrill and a challenge to find my way. Our senses allow us to experience the world with vivid awareness key to being fully alive in each precious moment. I hope my paintings remind you of how fresh and new each moment truly is.
I received formal invitation to join the Watercolor USA Honor Society in 2011. My paintings have been honored with awards throughout the United States and are in collections across the Midwest, including the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, MO.
