Katherine Boyce is a Minneapolis-based oil painter who reimagines familiar forms to create new abstracted spaces. She often distorts color and plays with dimension and surrealism to reorient perspective. Boyce’s body of work draws from attention to the spaces we build, inhabit, and impact as humans. Whether she is observing the natural or the built environment, she tries to capture a tension between the beauty and dissonance she experiences in the world.
