Karen Brown makes hand built functional stoneware pottery and life inspired figurative sculptural works.

She is inspired by graceful, almost figural forms, as in the gentle curves and shadings of the human body. Karen says "I want my pieces to create an aesthetic experience for touching, holding, and using as well as visual appearance. I try to make pottery that is light, balanced, and soaring in form".
