Alison Price has several series in process. The undulating Witnessing Waves series is inspired by the Mississippi River Gorge and its wealth of heritage trees. The trees acknowledge the contribution of all of our respective backgrounds and ancestries. The Purely Textural series, each a 12” x 12” highly textured sculptural painting. And the Road Trip series, colorful fractured contemporary paintings illustrating long horizons and vast skies. Price operates under a zero studio waste initiative: her scraps and failed paintings are turned into the popular Fireflies.
Alison Price holds a BA degree in Studio Art from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, and MA degree from the University of Wisconsin. Price’s art has been collected nationally and internationally, including a series purchased by the FBI for their regional headquarters and local businesses BKV Group, Sons of Norway, and Capital One. Price exhibited at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France in September 2022.
